SoloFlight – One app at a time

Today on twitter @iconaholic and @pumpkin where discussing the need for an easy single app mode in OS X. I instantly remembered a free utility I wrote a while back in conjunction with @kleinmaetschke. The utility is called SoloFlight (you can download it here) and enabled and disables single app mode at the users will via a simple menubar item.

This little gem is an application I actually wrote last year that acts a simple tool for managing OS X’s single app mode and quick dock or finder restarts.

SoloFlight is all about staying focused. When launched, SoloFlight sits in your menubar waiting for you to enable Single App Mode. When you enable Single App Mode and click on an applications dock icon, only windows from that application will be visible.

Just thought it would be worth sharing this utility on my blog for a wider audience to enjoy, I often find these free little utilities can make a major difference to peoples work flows.
